Welcome Spring Interns
February 4, 2019
The spring interns are here, and thank goodness, it’s busy season! Read a little about them below.
Camryn is originally from West Chester, PA, and is currently an undergraduate student at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA. Camryn is a third year student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in International Relations, with a concentration in Humanitarian Operations, and two minors in Spanish and Political Science. She is graduating from Duquesne University in December of 2019 and plans to pursue a career working with charities and nonprofits. Camryn is passionate about working to create a positive impact in the world and is excited for the opportunity to aid the Steinbruck Center in their efforts to create a positive impact in the community. She loves art, reading, the outdoors, and dogs. She also loves traveling and spent 6 months during 2018 studying in Granada, Spain and traveling around Europe.
Emily is joining us from Waconia Minnesota but will graduate from Augustana University in South Dakota this coming May. Emily is studying Sociology and has a passion for volunteering with marginalized groups in her community. She is excited to be serving in the DC community with us this semester while gaining professional career experience in her field. In her free time, you will find Emily exploring a new neighborhood, taste testing local cuisine, and binge-watching Friends for the third time.
